What is biblical counseling?

It's counseling based on the biblical teaching that the Bible provides everything a Christian needs to live well and please God. The biblical counselor's concern is to help counselees solve their problems and change through loving confrontation with God's Word.

Biblical Counseling can help you with any problems you may be facing:

WE OFFER COUNSELING

We provide biblical counseling to those seeking God's answers to the difficult issues in their lives.

Who can come?

Anyone interested in God's answers to life's problems. You do not have to be a member of Holly Ridge Baptist Church to receive counseling.

Who will counsel?

The counselors are elders and key lay leaders trained in biblical counseling.

When?

Counseling is available on most Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons and evenings by appointment only.

What's the cost?

The counseling itself is free of charge, although your counselor may ask you to purchase some books or materials if needed. If you would like to support our counseling ministry, you are welcome to make a donation to Holly Ridge Baptist Church.

WE RECOMMEND COUNSELOR TRAINING

We support and recommend Redeemer Biblical Counseling Training Institute. It is a ministry of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Moore, SC. RBCTI offers a two-year certificate training program to pastors, elders, and key lay leaders. The institute is accredited by the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC).

What?

Courses cover principles and practices of biblical counseling, counseling observation, role play, theology of counseling, medical issues, marriage and family, crisis counseling and much more.

When?

Classes meet Monday evenings from 6:30-9:30 p.m., September through May.

What?s the cost?

Tuition is $130 per quarter or $205 for each married couple.
