This study series was on the topic of Hermeneutics and was taught by Elder Robert Owen. Hermeneutics is the science and art of biblical interpretation. One of the biggest mistakes people make in interpreting the Bible is simply reading ancient writings with a modern mindset. If one does not know the historical context of a text or the literary context, then one cannot know what the author meant. Scripture CANNOT mean today what it never meant to its original readers. The purpose of this series is was to provide an introduction to the interpretation of the Bible, seeking to provide a historical perspective and reliable principles with which to study, interpret, and apply Scripture.
